Location: Phoenix, AZ
Duration: 6-9 months with possible extn
Rate: DOE
Unix System Admin:
• Install software, apply patches, manage file systems, monitor performance and troubleshoot alerts.
• Incident management - System failure analysis and recovery; insuring system consistency and integrity.
• Problem management - Ability to analyze problems, determine root cause, propose solutions, and drive issues to resolution.
• Proficient knowledge and practice of Unix Shell scripting or Perl.
• Ability to deal with changing priorities and handle multiple projects.
• Participation in on call rotation in a 24x7 data center environment.
• In-depth knowledge of Solaris 10,11(zones & vm's/LDOMS) RedHat Linux(AS 3,4 & 5).
• Minimum of 5yrs professional experience in a large to mid-sized data center environment.
• Experience with storage area networking as it applies to systems administration.
• Experience supporting applications such as Tibco, Weblogic, Veritas, EMC Networker a plus.
• Experience working with Oracle and Dell hardware, Vmware guests desirable.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Strong troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Candidate must be highly motivated.
