JOB DESCRIPTION:
The UNIX engineering position exists within an Infrastructure/Shared Services organization but focuses primarily on the delivery of high-quality infrastructure designs to support complex applications, databases and middleware components. The UNIX engineer will contribute to multiple projects in parallel in multiple UNIX Enterprise disciplines as technical leadership or subject matter expert roles. Maturation of enterprise infrastructure and mission critical business processes will be important activities alongside technical UNIX systems architecture and project implementation work.

Must Have:
Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (Server) in an Enterprise, mission critical data center environment, [not lab, not desktop]
Experience with virtualized environments (VMware ESX 4 and greater preferred).
Understanding of enterprise class systems' security requirements
Ability to think beyond tactical/immediate deliverables to assess and mitigate risks and costs
Understanding of enterprise class Disaster Recovery implementations
Experience with Solaris and AIX virtualized environments and can translate this understanding into enterprise RHEL environments.
Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (Server) in an Enterprise, mission critical data center environment, [not lab, not desktop]
