Education/Experience

o Java web developer skills (HTTP, HTML, CSS, Servlets, JSPs, Javascript, AJAX, Spring MVC) (Required)

o Deep understanding of XML including knowledge of XML, SAX, DOM, StAX, XSLT (Required)
o Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle, DB2) (Required)
o Good understanding of multi-threading, concurrency issues, IPC, caching, client-server systems, optimization etc. (Required)
o Experience in systems analysis, design and a solid understanding of development, quality assurance and integration methodologies; understanding of the full software development lifecycle (Required)
o Proven track record in building and deploying consumer-facing web applications (Required)
o Experience with building document processing flows, implementing content enrichment, building document deduplication algorithms, indexing and searching using Lucene is a plus
o Hands-on experience with software tools such as Eclipse / IDEA, Ant, CVS / SVN, JIRA, Bamboo / Hudson, profilers (Required)
o Experience working in agile development teams (Required)
Major Job Duties and Responsibilities:
o Supervise the design, build or maintenance of web sites, using authoring or scripting languages, content creation tools, management tools and digital media
o Supervise the writing, design, or editing web page content
o Direct web site updates
o Review problems uncovered by testing or customer feedback and approve the correction of problem
o Advise and direct management or development teams to prioritize needs, resolve conflicts, develop content criteria or choose solutions
o Direct development or validation of test routines and schedules to ensure that test cases mimic external interfaces
o Maintain understanding of current web technologies or programming practices through continuing education
