Immediate Hire - VPN/RAS Engineer
Job Position : VPN/RAS Engineer
Duration: 3-6 months temp-perm
Location: Washington DC
Minimum work experience preferred: 10 years
Minimum education and training required:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
Minimum education and training preferred:
- CCNA or MCSE Certified
- CCSA or CCSE Certified
Job Description:
- Ability to troubleshoot various situations with customer interaction over the phone, and/or in person.
- Participate in On-Call rotation
- Solve complex network server/application/infrastructure level problems on a individual level and interface teams as needed.
- Make recommendations to enhance and maintain RAS infrastructure
- Install, de-commission and document hardware and software requests as needed.
- Perform system upgrades as outlined/required
- Adapt to changing client needs and learn new technologies
- Ability to develop update and maintain technical and operational documentation
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Recommend, test and evaluate new remote access solutions/technologies.
- Provide technical advice and guidance to other staff members and managers.
Knowledge Requirements:
- Cisco routing and switching
- Microsoft Active Directory
- Checkpoint NGX Firewall / IPSEC and SSL VPN
- Cisco ASA Firewall / IPSEC and SSL VPN
- Microsoft Windows Server Technology
- PKI technology
Skills Required:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Customer service skills
- Proven knowledge and adherence to structured management processes
