Overview
This is a very data centric application and the ability to comprehend complex data relationships with an eye on performance is critical.
Responsibilities
• Work closely with Business Analysts to understand project requirements and proactively engage in requirement sessions.
• Determine appropriate architecture, and other technical solutions, and make relevant recommendations to clients.
• Work closely with Delivery Manager and other members of the Development Team to both develop detailed specification documents with clear project deliverables and timelines, and to ensure timely completion of deliverables.
• Attend requirement / design meetings during analysis and development.
• Communicate to the Delivery Manager with efficiency and accuracy any progress and/or delays. Engage in outside-the-box thinking to provide high value-of-service to team.
• Alert colleagues to emerging technologies or applications and the opportunities to integrate them into operations and activities.
• Be actively involved in and contribute regularly to the development community.
Specific Technical Skills
1. 6+ yrs of IT experience with:
• C# (.NET 4.0)
• WCF
• ASP.NET MVC 4
• jQuery / jQuery libraries
• CSS/HTML
• Commonly used Design Patterns/Object Oriented Principles
2. Agile Experience is a plus
Soft Skills
• Ability to analyze and solve problems and work with the team to identify and fix the root cause of the problems (be it programmatic or performance)
• Strong understanding of relational concepts
• Good communication skills – written and oral
• Team player that is also self-motivated
• Life cycle experience in large OLTP projects
• Must be able to deliver within short time frames
• Must be able to debug, test, and performance tune code
