Position: Front End Developer

Location: Chicago, IL

Duration: 6+ months contract

Interview Process: Telephonic Interviews only

Skills:

HTML5, DHTML, CSS3, JavaScript, JSON, DOM, JQuery, JQuery Mobile, AJAX, Backbone, Node, Adobe, IE Javascript Debugging, Javascript tools, version control systems (SVN, GIT etc),  Cross Browser Scripting (IE, Chrome)

Nice to Have:

Java, JSP, Servlets, Struts.

Past work history (Candidates past work history should include the following things):

·         Working in a cross-browser/device/platform environment

·         Programming with JavaScript and frameworks (jQuery, Prototype...)

·         Working with JavaScript object orientant programming frameworks (Backbone, Angular...)

·         Close work with QA, UX, Designers, and Server-side Engineers

Required Skills (These are skills any candidate must have for this position)

·         Expert knowledge of HTML and CSS (Able to work with both current HTML/CSS and build their own from scratch)

·         Expert knowledge of JavaScript - Able to create application both with and without frameworks/plugins

·         Strong understanding of DOM HTML objects and their properties

·         Strong understanding of how browsers handle events

·         Strong understanding of debugging front-end bugs (Includes working with console)

·         Understands how to read  a wireframe and build out web pages

Desired Skills (These are skills that the candidate should really have to become a member of our team):

·         Understanding how to break apart a Photoshop file to create application pages

·         Has worked with JAVA/JSP
