Java Developer
Long Term Contract
Detroit, MI
· Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent combination of education and recent, relevant work experience
· Minimum 4 years software development experience including 3 years of Java and JEE
· Minimum 2 years experience developing RESTful and SOAP based web services
· Expertise in Java, JEE, web services and development of service oriented applications
· Minimum 1 year experience in IBM SOA / Integration tools, specifically Websphere Message Broker, Data Power, Web Services, JMS and Websphere MQ
· Thorough understanding of and experience in object oriented design and programming
· Experience developing on application servers such as Websphere Application Server and WebLogic
· Thorough understanding and experience with Java frameworks such as Spring, Hibernate, Axis, ApacheCXF and Jersey
· Experience with an agile development methodology and tools, including testing tool frameworks (Cucumber, Junit, Selenium, SOAPUI, etc), pair programming, continuous integration and code quality (Sonar, PMD, Jenkins, Hudson)
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
· Creative problem solving skills and ability to effectively communicate and translate feedback, needs and solutions
Preferred
· Working knowledge of SAP and SAP integration technologies.
· Experience with a variety of Database Systems, such as LDAP, Oracle, DB2, and SQLServer.
