Job Title: Windows Server/Software Support Specialist
Location: Tallahassee, FL
Duration: 7 Months
Direct Client Position

This resource will primarily be tasked with performing windows server and application software support activities for client including, but not limited to the following:
Report to the Data Processing Manager for DBBSS
Work as a team member of the Database and Business Systems Support (DBBSS) Section in the Business Systems Support Office (BSSO)
Troubleshoot and support infrastructure for software applications hosted at SSRC
Troubleshoot and support infrastructure for software applications accessed through Citrix
Troubleshoot and support infrastructure for Information Builders, Inc – WebFOCUS/iWay reporting environment
Install software on Windows servers
Coordinate web application migrations with SSRC
Document procedures
Manage work tasks using service desk system and other acceptable means
Report status weekly
This resource may also be required to perform other infrastructure or database activities as requested.
The candidates considered for this position must be capable of independent work success, have good communication skills, and disciplined to follow BSSO processes and procedures. 
The candidate must be able to hit the ground running in a minimal amount of time.

skills in one or more of the following application infrastructure areas – vmware, citrix, web servers running internet information services, information builders products, oracle database servers, sql server database servers, geographic information systems, clustered file servers, infrastructure level programming/scripting, structured query language, sharepoint
ability to support the infrastructure for a variety of custom and commercial off the shelf software solutions
