Job Title   :  Netezza Admin

Location  : SFO, CA

Duration  : 1 Year+

Job Description : 

5 to 7 years of experience with Netezza system administration, Netezza system setup, and Netezza operations best practice.

At Least 3-7 years of experience in Installation, Upgrade, and administration of Netezza DB.

Demonstrates significant client interaction and communication skills.

Ability to perform support of production database services to ensure the highest standards of availability, resilience,  integrity, security and performance required for the business systems (Physical DBA).

Ability to perform Design, development and administration of Netezza databases.

Ability to perform Performance monitoring, reporting, and tuning of Netezza databases (Physical DBA)

Ability to perform Management and maintenance of back-ups & recovery procedures (Physical DBA)

Installation and maintenance of database server, replication and client environments (Physical DBA)         

Ability to perform Security and access control (Physical DBA)

Ability to support and provide assistance to development team in the design, development, testing,  tuning and implementation of database applications (Physical DBA)

Ability to Provision (database) development and testing environments (Physical DBA)

Knowledge and experience Installing & configuring Netezza on various operating systems

Experienced with database high availability systems.

Working knowledge of Unix in various OS platforms

Ability to lead operations, including production support for L1, and L3.  Manage SLAs for response and resolution time with Feedback loop for continuous improvement.

Experienced with ITIL support processes knowledge (Change Control, Incident Management, & Problem Management

Should be proactive in trend analysis and take up the Service Improvement Initiatives to reduce the Incidents.

Ability to coordinate with Delivery teams (E2E) for smooth rollouts and operation of changes migrated to Production
