Position: Sr JAVA Engineer - Focused Crawler
Location: Mountain View, CA
Duration: 6+ Months
Description:
We are looking for a Sr. JAVA Engineer who can help us build a crawler from scratch. He/she will work with other engineers on developing focused crawler from scratch.
This requires experience building independent components from ground up, and some network knowledge.
Requirements/Skills:
* Total Experience: 7-10+ yrs
* Advanced java experience.
* Take on components and develop them independently based on a set of requirements.
* Experience working with and integrating open source components.
* Working knowledge of http and tools for analyzing network traffic.
* Able to have a discussion of pro and cons of various approaches and come forward with issues or show stoppers.
* Knowledge of basic network operations, streams and building up an independent component
Nice to have:
* Domain experience in crawling.
