Job Title: .NET Developer w/VB6
Location: Westmont, IL
Duration: 6 – 12 Months
(# Positions: 4)
We are working with our large retail client to build a team of developers to serve in production-support capacity to research technical problems in legacy VB6 & .NET applications, remediate the problems, test the results and deploy to production.
Role Requirements
extensive research of bugs using log files (dumps)
work in 'break-fix' environment to remediate undocumented VB6 code
demonstrated ability to read code and fix code (VB6) written by other developers
demonstrated ability to trace the root cause of a bug often tracing to other VB6 or mainframe applications
demonstrated ability working in a production-support environment to analyze bugs, fix code, unit test the fix, and deploy to production
Experience with exchanging data with a mainframe is a plus
