Job Description:
• General duties will include web site maintenance and optimization, content updates, UI design and development, requirements gathering and project estimation
• Responsible for analyzing requirements, determining effort, and providing deliverable dates for projects and site enhancement requests
• Working with Technology team members to design and develop new web site functionality
• Will work with Creative and Product Management teams to design and develop web site user experience
• Additional responsibilities include documenting new web site functionality, supporting QA and deployment activities, troubleshooting production defects
Skills Required:
The candidate chosen for this role will be working on a ASP.Net web application, so it is important they have RECENT experience with ASP.Net
• Intermediate working knowledge of HTML, DHTML, JavaScript, CSS, XML, XSL, XSLT, Photoshop CS3/CS4
• Intermediate working knowledge of a web programming language (ASP.Net preferred) as it relates to the front-end user experience & custom web controls
• Intermediate working knowledge of W3C standards & browser compatibility
• Intermediate knowledge of ASP.Net 1.1/2.x/3.x and C#
• Working knowledge of SQL Server or other databases, IIS, and project development methodologies
• Ability to hand-code HTML and DHTML/JavaScript
• Can use common development tools (such as Visual Studio.Net) proficiently
• Experience optimizing graphics for use on the internet
• Knowledge of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) techniques
• Effective problem solving skills
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Experience with B2C, high traffic websites, focusing on ecommerce.
• Presentable portfolio of development work, online desired
• Can work independently with minimal supervision
• 3+ years web development experience involving the above skill-set
• Experience with JavaScript libraries (jQuery, YUI, Prototype, etc.)
Skills Preferred but Not Required:
• Experience with JavaScript libraries (jQuery, YUI, Prototype, etc.)
• Experience with mobile web development and HTML 5 / CSS 3 standards
