Scope Of The Project:

To provide temporary sap business objects report design and development support for the dnr technology development program. specific duties include development of reporting tools for agency licensing and titling sales and customer management records, hunter-boater education, law enforcement violations and suspensions, agency financial and invoicing systems, as well as various scientific reporting for freshwater fisheries, regional multi-state marine fisheries and geologic/hydrologic well databases.

Daily Duties / Responsibilities: 

The s.c. department of natural resources is seeking to acquire the temporary services of one sap business objects & web intelligence developer to provide report development support to the agency for a variety of financial, administrative and scientific applications. this position will work with the senior database administrator to design bo application universes and develop standardized and ad hoc reporting tools that provide automated and user invoked reports for a variety of agency programs. a sample of the reports includes regional monthly and annual reports on law enforcement violations and suspensions, regularly scheduled reports on hunter-boater education class offerings and student performance, various summaries of licensing and titling sales results, as well as, citizen reporting of species harvest records, summaries of dnr customer transactions, status reports and financial tracking, summaries of freshwater and marine fisheries species sampling results, hydrologic and geologic well data and numerous other agency reports. the following specific duties and responsibilities have been identified for this position at the sc dnr. 

develop various reporting tools to support agency programs
1. The various programs listed above are required to regularly (monthly, quarterly or annually) generate reports for internal support as well as to various grant sponsors and federal agency and law enforcement cooperators. the dnr uses the sap business objects reporting system to develop universe and generate regular (as indicated above) and ad hoc reports. it temporary staff hired with this solicitation will be required to develop a variety of business object reports including but not limited to:

coast guard boat registration
county boat tax data reports & data extraction/exports
licensing and titling administrative summary reports
various monthly and annual marketing data reports and extraction/exports to support foia initiatives
reports for customer records qa/qc
monthly reports for regional law enforcement offices regarding summons and violations and suspensions and officer activity

Required Skills (Rank In Order Of Importance):
1. extensive knowledge of and experience (5+ years) with sap business objects version 3.1 and higher, sap bo web intelligence and other relevant programming languages and scripting tools. 
2. extensive knowledge of relational data base management system structures and schema design including the appropriate implementation of database access security protocols into reporting program code.
3. good oral and written communication skills and demontrated ability to work with users for needs gathering, end user testing and training. 

Preferred Skills (Rank In Order Of Importance):
1. extensive knowledge of enterprise information systems development involving the integration of tabular, statistical, electronic records management and web-based reporting technologies. 
2. knowledge of oracle 11g relational database management systems including creation of data views
