Required Skills:
- 5+ years Java development experience
- 3+ years solid experience with major application servers
- 3+ years recent ATG experience, including Commerce
- Strong Oracle DB experience
- WebSphere experience
 
Preferred Skills:
- Personalization and Content experience
- Integration external application using their API, for example Google Maps etc.
 
Job Description:
The Java/ATG Developer is a responsible for providing hands-on web technology leadership in analyzing, designing, and developing applications within the primary ATG/Websphere Java Web environment and other related web properties. This is a senior level development position with responsibilities that including resolving log-file issues, Websphere Migration support, resolving difficult application server issues. Other primary responsibilities include analyzing, developing, and supporting Internet, Intranet and Extranet based solutions. This position utilizes knowledge of and skills associated with Java technologies, Oracle databases, and industry standard development methods, working with minimal supervision as a member of the Web Development team.
 
Major Responsibilities:
- Designs, writes code, and completes programming, debugging and system/applications testing at a high complexity level for the associations web applications and properties.
- Provides senior-level debugging, testing, and technical support for existing Web e-business solutions.
- Experience working with build and deployment scripts is a plus.
- Should have hands on experience working with relational databases, experience with Oracle is a must.
- Acts as technical lead on web development initiatives, hiring and managing contract developers, leading application design sessions and overseeing project development.
- Ensures appropriate staffing and knowledge transfer for on-going technical support of new and enhanced products.
- Integrates within the web team and with project managers and contract developers to ensure that development is performed within existing SDLC and web architectural frameworks.
- Performs proactive technology research. Recommends technology improvement and leads efforts to implement them.
- Provides technical expertise to TCS and business unit staff as appropriate.
- Provides level of effort estimates, and assist with planning for and initiating new initiatives.
- Designs and documents system specifications, prepares prototypes, monitors hardware/software efficiency and on-time completion of development projects.
- Provides leadership and mentoring to development staff to ensure that technology solutions are delivered in a standard and high quality manner
- Performs activities with complete integrity and in accordance with policies, systems, practices and programs.
