Duration       :    6 months to 1 year Contract with a possibility of extension.

Job Description:

The Performance QA analyst is responsible for creating, maintaining and continually improving the QA team's performance test automation capabilities. This person will work a team of Test Analysts to develop and manage performance scripts, and will contribute to those same efforts. The Performance QA analyst will work with the QA Manager and QA Test Executors to identify opportunities for new automation and for enhancing existing automation.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish a Performance Testing strategic roadmap
  • Evaluate and establish the architecture to support Performance Testing activities
  • Lead the implementation of an performance framework for software quality assurance testing
  • Create performance scripts and scenarios that ensures applicationmeet business requirements, systems goals, fulfill end-user requirements, and identify existing or potential bottlenecks
  • Research and recommend automated test tools and environment standards
  • Plan, design, develop and maintain performance test scripts
  • Actively drive increased code coverage, especially from an automation standpoint
  • Analyze test results to identify opportunities for future performance improvements, as well as continuous improvements of existing scripts
  • Develop and establish quality assurance measures and testing standards for performance test automation

Candidates must have four or more years in web based testing with heavy emphasis in all of the following in order to be considered:

  • Proficient in a variety of testing methodologies in automated and manual performance and load testing environments, with hands-on experience developing test scripts and performance test plans
  • Proficiency testing web services
  • Experience with TFS, Visual Studio (coded UI and Load Test), Test Manager and Selenium
  • Experience with MS SQL Server and SQL
  • Experience  testing web application written in C# and JQuery
  • Experience with Medical Billing and ERP Systems is desired
  • Experience analyzing already deployed applications
  • Experience with all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Knowledge of Privacy, Security Policies and Procedures for database access and electronic data interchange (EDI) compliance with data standards set out by Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and its associated rules
  • Experience conducting research into software-related performance issues and products
  • Prior experience communicating with technical and business teams for insight on functionality, interface, problems, and/or usability issues
  • Able to communicate effectively with non-technical staff and with members of Interdisciplinary teams using strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Highly self-motivated and directed, with a keen attention to detail
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in high-pressure environments
  • Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Demonstrated proficiency with automated testing tools
  • Experience with MS Office Suite including Visio, PowerPoint, Excel, Access & SQL Server
