Solutions Architect (Payments)Position:

Specifically for this position we are looking for skills and experiences in some specific areas.  Namely we are looking for resources with the following experience:

                Payments Business, Infrastructure, Systems Understanding

Most of the solutions designed by solution architects in the banking industry will touch some element of the payment system. In order to leverage this truly unique advantage, the solution architect must understand the capabilities and functionality of all payment mechanisms. A skilled solution architect with an insider's knowledge of banking products and services will understand the fundamentals of the following(in order of importance):

• Wire transfer capabilities, both domestic and international

• ACH and the NACHA rules

• Debit card processing

• Credit card processing

• ATM networks and interchange

• Bill payment alternatives

• Check imaging systems and exchanges

• Item processing

Solution Architecture Design      65%

·        Leads the IT solution design of large, complex projects, providing a baseline set of design artifacts for use by developer and engineers during construction

·        Mentors Senior IT Solution Architects.

·        Ensures all viable options are objectively considered and appropriately balances the business needs, technical architecture, and project constraints.

·        Ensures all IT solutions drive simplification and standardization through the effective use of design patterns and reuse of technology.

·        Designs IT solutions that effectively meet the performance, extensibility,, integration, capacity and accessibility needs of applications.

·        Ensures designs appropriately meet our Technical Minimal Security Baseline standards (TMSBs) and align our enterprise standards and principles.

·        Ensures designs align with our Enterprise Architecture principles and IT standards.

Solution Architecture Consulting       20%

• Partners with Business Relationship Managers and IT Strategy Services, providing research and concept development services, as appropriate
• Leads the definition of the short and long term IT architecture strategy for key business segments, focusing on cross project needs and future business direction.

Solution Architecture Methodology      15%

·        Leads the development of IT architectural design patterns.

·        Leads the development, implementation, communication, and on-going support of IT solution architecture processes and standards.

·        Active participant in the promotion and continued enhancement of our Enterprise Architecture.
