Job Title: Websphere Admin
Location: Jacksonville, FL
Duration: 1+ Year
Responsibilities:
· The Websphere Administrator will administer the Websphere Application Server environment.
· The Websphere Administrator will administer Websphere Portal Server and Websphere Process Server environments.
· The Websphere Administrator will maintain, troubleshoot and implement web environments with multiple technologies.
· The Websphere Administrator will ensure reliability and high availability of enterprise web environments
· Troubleshoot and methodically identify, research and resolve complex issues in the web environment
· Determine migration and upgrade impacts, ensure optimized performance and effectiveness of the internet/intranet infrastructure
· Translate business requirements into technical solutions, provide direction and recommendations related to implementation, write policies and procedures
· Position will provide support for production and non-production Websphere Application Server environments, existing and new.
Required Skills:
· 3+ years of experience with BOTH Websphere Portal Server and Websphere Process Server.
· 5+ years of experience with IBM Websphere Application Server 6.x, 7.x and 8.x administration.
· Experience with IBM HTTP Server, Apache and IIS administration
· Experience with JBoss, Tomcat and Liberty Profile.
· Experience with Unix and Windows operating systems
· Knowledge of N-Tier architecture.
· Knowledge of Capacity Planning, Performance Tuning and Project Management
· Experience programming with perl, python, jacl, Jython, or Korn shell scripts scripting tools
· Knowledge of enterprise web applications, services, systems and supporting technologies including firewalls/routing/load balancing etc.
· After hours and weekend support and on-call rotation will be required
· Experienced in leading major, large-scale system or infrastructure implementations
· Experience managing or developing Internet or intranet based applications
· Experience implementing/deploying enterprise WAS applications
· Experience with IBM Forms, Websphere Commerce Server, WebLogic Server desirable, but not required.
