Position- Sr.  Java/ Hadoop Developer

Responsibilities

•         Design, Build & Test the Platform to enable Nextgen Big Data technologies to cater to data streams from desperate data sources.

•         Own development tools, processes, quality/performance for development work.

•         Work in a Globally Distributed Development team environment to enable successful delivery with a minimal supervision

•         Reports critical issues to leadership team and management effectively, timely and with clarity.

•         Hands-on system design and development.

•         Keep track of technical developments in the industry and innovatively utilize them in the ongoing projects.

Qualifications & Experience

•         BS/MS CS/SE/EE degree or equivalent with 8+ years of Java/J2EE experience in the field of Software Engineering and Development

•         Minimum 6+ years of strong hands-on development experience with Java (5.0/6.0), J2EE and related technologies

•         Must have at-least 2+ years of hands-on experience on Hadoop Ecosystem including HDFS, HIVE, HBase, Pig, Storm, Spark, Yarn, Map-Reduce, Sqoop, Flume etc.

•         2+ years of deep understanding & hands-on experience with NoSQL databases like MongoDB/CouchDB & Evolution of different types of No-SQL Databases.

•         Must have strong Experience & Knowledge on Data modeling

•         Experience in Scripting knowledge like Python is a plus

•         Must have a deep understanding of different SDLC methodologies and experience with all phases of SDLC
