Opening Qlikview Developer
Location: Northbrook, IL
Duration: 6 to 9 months
Skill & Knowledge Profile: The person sought for this position is an expert in report development using Qlikview. Candidates should know and understand the data, data models and data processing requirements common to pharmaceutical sales & marketing organizations.
A candidate for this position should be comfortable working in a fast paced environment, often with vague or conflicting requirements, be an active problem solver, and be able to work efficiently and effectively on their own with light oversight.
Experience with Qlikview is a non-negotiable requirement for this position. We would be happy to have a developer with experience in other report development tools, but Qlikview is the enterprise standard at the client and candidates without Qlikview experience will not be considered.
Qlikview Report Development skills:
Data analysis & modeling
Experience in writing SQL queries
Writing Qlikview extract and transformation scripts using important Qlikview script functions
Developing complex Qlikview Datamodels without impacting the report performance
Developing Qlikview reports using efficient set analysis and expressions
Developing Section Access for different user groups
Experience developing Qlikview mobile reports (IPad)
Creating loop and reduce tasks
Clearly & accurately reporting development issues
Industry & Functional Knowledge Like:
Basic data warehouse design, development, testing & deployment
The difference between traditional reporting tools and Qlikview
Knowledge on Qlikview in-memory architecture and associative experience
Knowledge on Qlikview Server architecture
Integrating large sets of data from data warehouse and external data in a Qlikview application
Knowledge & understanding of pharmaceutical sales practices & technologies
Knowledge & understanding of pharmaceutical sales datasets, formats & vendors (like SHA,IMS, Metamedia, Wolters Kluwer)
Experience with BI and Reporting Tools Like:
Qlikview
Experience in Languages Like:
Any SQL Dialect
