Position: Uniux Admin

Location: Minneapolis (MN)

Duration: 6 months

Skillset in order of priority is:-

o   Unix, scripting and configuration

o   Infra Automation

o   System admin capabilities

o   Development

Job Description:

·         5+ years' experience.

·         Unix scripting and configuration

·         Infra Automation

·         System admin capabilities

·         Deep understanding of Unix fundamentals as well as OS commands/utilities

·         Programming ability with at least one of the following: Perl, Python, PHP, or Ruby AND a Shell language (bash, korn, etc.).

·         Knowledge of operational and security best practices.

·          Knowledge of monitoring and trending systems - ie: nagios, graphite, stated, Zenoss, 

·         Ability to support applications, understand and manage those apps (Java, Tomcat, Oracle, Mysql, LAMP.

·         Experience with systems automation and configuration management (e.g. Puppet, Chef, Salt, CFEngine).

·         Knowledge of DevOps principles and practice

·         Self-motivated with a STRONG sense of ownership, urgency and drive.

·         Ability to work as part of team on tasks, and projects with minimum supervision.

·         Familiarity with cloud environment (vCAC, AWS, EC2, OpenStack, RackSpace, etc.).

·         RedHat or VCP certifications are strongly preferred

Working knowledge of the following:

·         RedhatOpenstack, VMware vSphere 5+.

·         Hands on networking experience with switches, routers, and load balancers, as well as an understanding of TCP/IP and network architecture/routing.

·         Windows Server 2008+.

·         Orchestration toolsets (Cloudformsetc).

·         Familiar with software packaging and code deployment.

·         Strong user of Open Source Software (OSS)
