Explanation for Position:
The selected candidate will be used to address specific development needs.
Details of Position:
Among the immediate needs are the design and development of system software
and tools to enable a real-time location solution. This effort requires the ability to
develop and test system software, working with vendor technical staff. In addition,
the individual will be used to design and develop rapid prototype applications and
to develop system software utilities. Candidate will need to design and implement
embedded Windows OS configurations (CE/Mobile/Embedded Handheld) across
multiple target devices. Excellent communication skills and vendor integration
experience need to be coupled with the requisite technical skills
Management Skills:
Candidate with engineering degree and 6-7 years' experience who has strong
technical skills with the following development languages/environment (C/C++,
.NET). Candidate must apply technical breadth in areas including mobile/industrial
devices, mobile operating systems, cellular/Wi-Fi/Bluetooth communications, and
imaging/scanning to specific project requirements while working to drive and
further develop the enterprise strategy for mobile/industrial devices. Skilled at
testing and troubleshooting vendor deliverables, which may include the design and
development of automated tools. Technology subject matter expert responsible for
resolving issues directly with vendor engineering teams or internal UPS application
and/or infrastructure resources.
