Position: Senior Display Software Engineer
Location: Peoria, IL
Duration: 6 Months Contract
Job Description:
· This is a position for a contract software engineer to develop display software for Caterpillar machine applications. The candidate's duties will include but are not limited to: developing, configuring, and testing display software; designing GUI interfaces; troubleshooting and correcting software issues; and reporting development status. This position involves working closely with display systems engineers, and display software development team.
Required Qualifications
· BSEE, BSCE, BSCS, or BSME
· Five to ten years of development experience using C++, Java, or C# programming languages
· Development experience using Object Oriented Design
· Desire to work in an Agile team environment
Desired Qualifications
· Experience using Design Patterns in software development
· Experience with developing Unit Tests and Test Driven Development
· Experience with Refactoring
· Knowledgeable in Boost
· Three to five years of embedded software experience
· Experience with CAN, J1939 and other data link protocols
