The top 3 skill sets: zOS, OS/390, IBM 360 Assembler. The locations sites are Miamisburg, OH or Raleigh, NC. This position is a contract to hire position.

 Summary: 

This role is a part of a team responsible for providing 24X7 support to LexisNexis production systems and applications running on Mainframe. 

Education/Experience: 

• Minimum 10 years of experience with OS/390, zOS, TSO/ISPF, ROSCOE, JCL, Unix System Services, zLinux and IBM 360 Assembler is required. 
• Minimum 5 years of experience with Quickjob, Easytrieve, RPF and REXX is required. 
• Experience with Tivioli Workstation (OPC) and Universal Command is a plus. 
• Demonstrated troubleshooting, crisis management and on-call experience is required. 
• Strong communications skills and professional skills. 
• Knowledge of the Microsoft Windows operating systems is a plus.

Competencies: 

• Provide 24x7 support for LexisNexis mainframe based online system. 
• On call rotation required, including nights, weekends, holiday coverage. 
• Proactively monitor the health of the online environment through the use of application logs, instrumentation and diagnostic data to reduce system disruptions. 
• Drive to root cause and resolution all customer disruptive incidents. 
• Act as application expert and provide leadership during technical discussions and times of system crisis. 
• Drive operational and process efficiencies through automation, process refinement and decommissioning efforts.
