Job Title: Splunk Resource

Location: Philadelphia, PA

Duration: 6+ months

Job Description:        

This position will work closely with the following teams:

Engineering, Production Support, Infrastructure and Business Intelligence

Key Responsibilities

•           Maintain, grow and improve the TVX Splunk environment

o          Support large-scale deployments across multiple datacenters

o          Monitor & track Splunk performance problems & administration

•           Develop reliable, efficient queries that will feed custom:

o          Alerts

o          Dashboards

o          Reports

•           Populate Splunk from 3rd party data sources (i.e. bash/python scripts/SQL DB/APIs)

•           Report status through JIRA tickets and track work effectively

In terms of skills requirements:

•           2+ year hands-on experience with distributed Splunk administration

•           Linux Systems administration experience

•           Experience Python/Perl or other OO based language

•           Familiarity with Java-based server applications & logging frameworks

•           Exposure to database/big data technologies:

o          SQL (MySQL, Oracle)

o          No-SQL databases (Cassandra, Mongodb, Redis)

•           Excellent written and oral communication skills
