Position: Network Engineer
Location: Dublin, Ohio

Candidate must be willing to travel occasionally
They are looking for network engineer with at least 5 years' of experience. This person NEEDS to have Cisco and Aruba "wireless" experience as well as configuring routers/switches.
What Network contributes to Cardinal Health
Network is responsible for configuring, deploying and maintaining network solutions which support the delivery of IT services worldwide. This includes network equipment and services provided by various vendors deployed in locations varying significantly in size and complexity.
•Gathers requirements, designs and deploys network solutions to support business alignment.
•Maintains existing network environments through proactive monitoring and problem resolution.
•Responds to client requests for problem resolution and processing service requests.
•Requires working knowledge of network hardware, operating systems, device configuration, carrier interfaces/capabilities and various network management/troubleshooting tools.
•Defines solutions that balance network requirements and standards with business needs.
•Investigates and resolves network incidents and recommends enhancements to improve security.

•Applies comprehensive knowledge and a thorough understanding of concepts, principles and technical competencies to perform varied tasks and projects.
•Will engage vendors and other team members as well as those in other technology groups in the timely delivery of solutions while meeting expected milestones.
•Works on the development of policies and procedures.
•Works on projects of varying complexity and scope, in a high volume environment.
•Completes work both collaboratively (standards, incident resolution) and independently, depending upon the specific circumstances.
•May act as a mentor to less experienced colleagues.
•Proactively develops and maintains technical knowledge in specialized area(s), remaining up to date on current trends and best practices.
•Aligns with internal and external customers to understand and anticipate their needs in performing assessments and enhancements.
Accountabilities in this role
•Support international and domestic deployments of varying size and complexity.
•Ability to navigate hybrid work streams leveraging internal and external partners.
•Understand, identify and document implementation steps for deployment of technologies.
•Identify, communicate and resolve potential risks that may impede project initiatives.
•Configuration, implementation and troubleshooting of technologies.
•Excellent communication skills required. Multilingual a plus.
Qualifications
•Requires in-depth knowledge of wired/wireless network hardware, software and LAN/WAN/WLAN connectivity.
•Excellent work load management and prioritization skills.
•Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent work experience
•5+ years' experience in a related field preferred
•Industry certification(s) preferred
•Proficient with PC – Windows, Word, Excel, e-mail, etc.

•Cisco and Aruba wireless technologies
•NetMRI, Solar Winds, NetQoS, Visio, CAD
•Desirable: Firewall and load balancer experience
•Desirable: Knowledge of TIA/EIA AND BICSI standards
