Role: UNIX/Linux Systems Engineer
Location: Mechanicsburg, PA
Duration: 6-12 Months
Rate: $48/hr on C2C Max and Best

MUST HAVE:
Bachelors Degree or higher
Linux certification
Systems Administration Experience with Linux and HP-UX operating systems  
10+ years of experience in an IT infrastructure environment
10+ years of Linux Engineering/Administration
2+ years of experience with Linux servers  and  SAN storage devices (EMC SANs Desired)
Solid understanding of Enterprise Linux and best practices
Solid understanding of Linux monitoring and tools
Solid understanding of Linux security best practices
Solid understanding of Oracle on Linux, including Oracle RAC
Perl scripting experience 
Veritas File System management 
Ensuring backups are sufficient for complete system recovery 
Ability to solve problems quickly and effectively
Ability to calmly resolve high risk situations
Knowledge of current technological developments/trends in area of responsibilities
Writing Skills – reports, proposals, white papers
Ability to handle multiple tasks
Must be detail oriented, committed to deadlines and have solid verbal and written communication skills
Work with vendors to ensure maintenance coverage for all relevant servers and equipment
Utilize tools for continuous system monitoring of system resource utilization
System maintenance including backups, operating system installations and upgrades, etc.
Ability to follow established Change Control processes

NICE TO HAVE:
EMC SANs experience
Veritas Cluster Software experience
CommVault experience
