Job Title : Build and Release Engineer

Location : 6 month

Duration : San Francisco,CA (local preferred)

Description:

One of our clients is looking for a Build & Release Engineer.

Responsibilities:

• Establish strong Release Management Processes and Policies
• Co-ordinate Release Management Activities
• Be an SME and Advisor to IT and Business for Release Management

Skills:

• 8+ years of IT experience with most in Release Management
• GIT - branching, and merging and management of code repositories
• Continuous integration continuous deployment using Jenkins/Hudson
• ANT and Maven
• Hands On experience in Unix environment
• Planning and co-ordinating mock dress rehearsals in a production release environment
• Strong experience of SDLC Methodologies like Agile, Kanban
• Ability to devise strategy to rapidly changing priorities
• Nice to have Version One experience
• Prior experience in release management of COTS product is a plus
• Experience deploying applications using Chef is a huge plus. Experience with writing cookbooks in Chef is preferred.
• Strong Linux/Bash scripting skills with at least one more programming language like Python/Perl/Ruby/?
• Experience setting up and administering Jenkins/Git
• Experience deploying Java (or similar) applications
