F2F interview availability preferred, candidates from PA or surrounding states preferred
MUST HAVE:
- Bachelors Degree or higher
- Linux certification
- Systems Administration Experience with Linux and HP-UX operating systems
- 10+ years of experience in an IT infrastructure environment
- 10+ years of Linux Engineering/Administration
- 2+ years of experience with Linux servers and SAN storage devices (EMC SANs Desired)
- Solid understanding of Enterprise Linux and best practices
- Solid understanding of Linux monitoring and tools
- Solid understanding of Linux security best practices
- Solid understanding of Oracle on Linux, including Oracle RAC
- Perl scripting experience
- Veritas File System management
- Ensuring backups are sufficient for complete system recovery
- Ability to solve problems quickly and effectively
- Ability to calmly resolve high risk situations
- Knowledge of current technological developments/trends in area of responsibilities
- Writing Skills – reports, proposals, white papers
- Ability to handle multiple tasks
- Must be detail oriented, committed to deadlines and have solid verbal and written communication skills
- Work with vendors to ensure maintenance coverage for all relevant servers and equipment
- Utilize tools for continuous system monitoring of system resource utilization
- System maintenance including backups, operating system installations and upgrades, etc.
- Ability to follow established Change Control processes
NICE TO HAVE:
- EMC SANs experience
- Veritas Cluster Software experience
- CommVault experience
