Job Title: Business Analyst (3)
Location: Providence, RI
Duration: 12 Months
The project the analysts and programmer will be working on is the final development cycles of the Division of
Motor Vehicle's RIMS system modernization project. This project's aim is to build a new database, interface, and
business logic back-end system of record married to a more modern front-end user experience for the DMV to
replace the outdated (1970's-era) legacy system.
The purpose of this solicitation is to hire a small team of business analysts of varying degrees of experience and
skillset to assist in the creation and organization of project artifacts, most importantly, Agile development stories
as part of a larger, web-based documentation whole.
REQUIREMENTS
Business Analysts - General
Qualified candidates must be proficient in all Microsoft Office applications, with Agile software development and
story writing experience preferred. Deliverables will include, but are not limited to, the following:
Document business requirements as explained by subject matter experts in story format.
Maintain master documentation of overall system functionality.
Document decisions made by management.
Assist in business process review with RIMS team while building new functionality.
Assist in testing of stories and regression testing.
Review and update technical specifications.
Prepare training materials and provide support during training of new employees.
Experience working with document management systems, including Sharepoint.
Agile software development stories.
Logical documentation of business rule scenarios and decision trees.
Official decisions by DMV administrators with potential project impact.
Junior Business Analysts
Minimum of 1 year's experience in gathering and documenting business requirements in technical
application development settings.
Must be able to describe both functional and process work flow requirements.
Experience and certification in application delivery methodology strongly preferred.
Intermediate Business Analyst (1)
Minimum of 3 years' experience in gathering and documenting business requirements in technical
application development settings.
Must be able to describe both functional and process work flow requirements.
Experience and certification in application delivery methodology strongly preferred.
Senior Business Analyst (1)
Same as above, with a minimum of 6 years' experience.
Must have specific experience in the development of use-ease and process flow models.
Experience with the UML, BDD (behavior driven development/TDD (test driven development), and Agile methodologies strongly recommended.
