Position : Cassandra Admin
Location : Jersey City, NJ
Job Roles & Responsibilities:
- Build out a Cassandra/ Spark data farm of mission critical data with fast retrieval and real-time updates.
- Perform analysis of requirements and design
- Create and execute unit tests and perform basic systems testing
- Participate in peer code reviews and technical meetings
- Troubleshoot and support system and application problems
- Coordinate with users and developers located in different geographic regions
Required skills and experience:
- 4+ years of experience in building & managing Big data products in enterprise mode with Products like Cassandra/ Spark
- Strong Java background with expertise in designing and developing multi-threaded systems
- Comfortable reading, reviewing, and modifying others' code
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Strong understanding of Linux OS and internals
- Experience with Agile development processes, methodologies and tools
- Excellent understanding of Object Oriented software design
