Title: VM Ware Admin

Job Description:
Strong in the VMware software configuration space to build up and configure our HA Software, Hardware, and Data Center level redundancy model.
Review and validate existing design architecture for accuracy.
Validate server deployment requirements for proposed infrastructure.
Install and configure all servers working jointly with Comcast Service Delivery Managers:
Validate and request network IP requirements for implementation.
Validate and request DBA SQL server build/replication/mirroring.
Validate and request SAN/NAS Storage requirements for infrastructure.
Within VM environment, build up duplicate VM hosts to support (Dev/Test, QA, and Prod).
Consult and configure VMWare HA environment for:
OS redundancy (Clustered hosts) â¿¿ Can support workload thru clustered hosts and remain online if specific hosts crash/fail due to OS.
Hardware redundancy (Paired Servers) â¿¿ Can support hardware level outages via paired server deployment.
DR redundancy (Data Center level) â¿¿ Can support disaster recovery in the event that data center level outage occurs.
Validate application database requirements/specs with software solution provider, and consult with Comcast DBA teams to align requirements with desired implementation.
Run test cases to ensure all required infrastructure performs as desired.
Establish run book detailing infrastructure and installation methodology/process for ongoing support needs.
Train staff on settings and common configure changes for ongoing support needs.
Skill and Experience Details:
Minimum Experience Required: >7 YEARS
Mandatory Skills: VmWare Citrix Admin, Windows and AD Admin, Infra Trouble shooting and Operations, Windows Admin, Vmware Admin
Desirable Skills: Messaging Infrastructure
Language Skills: English Language
