1. Jira configuration and development Experience (3-5 years)
2. Also must have java development experience and integration experience with technologies such as Jira and service now (3-5 years).
3. Great communication skills. Need to be able to interview an analyst and convey an understanding of what is being asked.
4. Good release management, and change management disciplines. Having a technical background and understanding will help them be incredibly successful.
5. They need to be able to ask really good questions and know the tool itself and navigate through existing toolsets and make configuration changes in a production and test environment.
Job Overview:
Concur is seeking a contract Jira configuration engineer to participate in an agile sprint team process and deliver on business configuration activities to automate and drive process efficiencies. This engineer will work within our existing sprint teams and deliver on configuration and development oriented activities in support of Concur and the Information Technology organization.
Location: Preferably, this engineer would be Bellevue, Washington based, however a remote worker will be considered after screening if we cannot find a local candidate.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Provide development and Tier 2 application support for Atlassian JIRA (6.2.7 for Jira and JIRA Agile is 6.6.41)
• Project experience, including building integration capabilities between JIRA and other products, such as ServiceNow Helpdesk
• Gather requirements for business processes, and determine ways to optimize/improve JIRA setup and workflows, as well as identify where functionality can/cannot meet user requests
• Create or modify comprehensive JIRA workflows including project workflows, screen schemes, permission schemes, notification schemes etc.
• Use built-in customization as well as third party add-ons for extending the functionality of Atlassian Tools
• Using SOAP/REST APIs, develop one-off solutions for integrations with other tools, automate manual processes, data migration routines and extract data for reporting and analytics purposes.
• Responsible for managing development work queue (issue, task and bug tracking)
• Compile and analyze development and operational bug reports
• Troubleshooting and fixing errors common to Applications
• Application Deployment - Java ,Standalone Custom Apps, COTS Products
• Version Control Software Setup, Administration, Configuration (GIT, Subversion, CVS)
Position Requirements:
• Experience with JIRA administration and configuration (advanced)
• Experience creating and enhancing JIRA custom modules and scripting
• Deep understanding of JIRA workflows and schemes (permission, notification and screen, etc.)
• Experience with JAVA, Groovy scripting, SQL and SQL Server
• Demonstrated experiences in a Windows, Linux and Apache environment
• Very good knowledge of SDLC and experience working with Agile / SCRUM
• Experience in a customer facing role
• Excellent oral and written communication skils.
