Business Analyst with 6 months of IT Security Experience
Job Title: Security Analyst
Location: Owings Mills, Maryland
Duration: 6 Months
Skills:
-Development processes: Intermediate
-Process Management: Intermediate
-Process Optimization: Intermediate
-Cyber Security: 6 months to 1 year experience
-Process Improvement: Intermediate
Responsibilities:
-Serve as security analyst and as a contributor to cross functional teams for deployment and support of security specific infrastructure to provide information security to the enterprise.
-Assist with reviews of current and new CareFirst systems and applications, including changes to existing applications/systems, to assure compliance with Information Security -policies and standards.
-Apply creative thinking in problem solving and identifying opportunities for improvements in security.
-Provide Information Security related recommendations regarding CareFirst infrastructure components (communications network, physical security, data access, computer hardware/software and data confidentiality, integrity, and availability).
-Assist with reviews of current and new CareFirst systems and applications, including changes to existing applications/systems, to assure compliance with Information Security -policies and standards.
-Apply creative thinking in problem solving and identifying opportunities for improvements in security.

Requirements:
-BA or BS degree, preferably in Computer Science, Business or equivalent work experience.
-Previous experience and knowledge of quantitative risk analysis and modeling.
-Experience in or expose to business process analysis, Work flow, task analysis, user acceptance testing and requirements analysis.
-Demonstrated ability to elicit, document, analyze and verify requirements.
-Knowledge and experience with user acceptance testing concepts.
-Strong written documentation skills and technical writing are required.
-Previous experience and knowledge of quantitative risk analysis and modeling.
