VB.NET Programmer 3 - Clifton Forge, VA (463488)
Location: 1504 Chestnut St. Clifton Forge, VA
Employment Type: 12 months contract.

***candidates local to the Clifton Forge, VA area are strongly preferred. Clifton Forge is in far western VA, almost WVA

***ALL work is to be performed onsite in Clifton Forge, VA
The .Net Developer will provide IT staff augmentation for monitoring, maintenance and on-going systems support. The .Net developer will work closely with and receive direction from the current IT contractor staff on-site and provide professional support
Provide support and maintenance on the in-house proprietary C#/VB.Net application
Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle.
Write well designed testable, efficient code.
Ensure designs are in compliance with specifications.
Prepare releases of software components.
Work proficiently in a team-based environment but able to work independently.
Design and code new Windows and web software applications
Maintain existing software systems by identifying and correcting software defects
Skill Required / Desired Amount of Experience
· BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject Required
· 5+ years of experience in VB.NET development Required 5 Years
· Hands on experience in designing and developing applications using Visual Studio platform Required 5 Years
· Excellent knowledge of Relational Databases (MSSQL) Required 5 Years
· Experience with ASP.NET, HTML, CSS Required 5 Years
· Experience with JavaScript and/or Java is a Plus Highly desired 3 Years
· Experience designing and developing high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems, delivering high-availability and performance Highly desired 3 Years
