Job Description:

This Database Engineer will bring solid skills in MongoDB and NoSQL, help certify, deploy, and support MongoDB system,
and will be accountable for educating the team on using MongoDB technologies while incorporating them into the infrastructure.

Major Duties:

·         MongoDB configuration for high availability and disaster recovery

·         Tuning and scaling MongoDB for optimal performance

·         Support day to day administrative needs for multiple MongoDB instances in the Bank

·         Experience with MongoDB Tools (mtools)

·         Experience with RDBMS, especially Oracle

·         Experience with performance monitoring and tuning of NoSQL/RDBMS designed solutions

·         Experience in writing NoSQL, SQL, Stored Procedures and Triggers

·         Provide technical guidance and expert-level consultation for complex data reporting needs

·         Manage backup and recovery strategies for MongoDB

·         Automate routine tasks with your own scripts and open-source tools

Required Qualifications:

·         Infrastructure Engineering experience

·         Prior experience of certifying database engineering patterns for enterprise use

·         MongoDB administration experience

·         Experience with Extract/Transform/Load (ETL) technologies to support MongoDB/RDBMS reporting needs.

Desired Qualifications:

·         Experience in Perl and/or Python (preferred object oriented development).

·         Experience in shell/Bash/Ksh.

·         Familiarity with IT core applications like DNS, Active Directory, Kerberos, SMTP, Transactional DBs, Apache, etc.

·         Experience in command line interfaces (CLI), third party APIs and integration.

·         Experience with small web programming projects using technologies such as PHP/JavaScript/Perl or Python FastCGI

·         Experience with version control systems (preferably with GIT/Subversion/Perforce).* Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Windows Server.

·         Experience with large distributed environments (50,000+ servers).
