Position: sr. Data analyst with Informatica and financial domain experience
Location: NYC,NY
Duration: 8 Months
NO OPT candidates.
Must have 10 + years of experience.
Responsibilities:
Strong customer facing skills and ability to communicate to business and technical resources
Lead Data profiling activities against source systems with strong SQL experience – report and present identified Data Quality defects for remediation in source system(s) or as an ETL mapping rule
Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
Requirements gathering, creating functional specifications, process mapping, documenting, data analysis and getting involved in helping manage medium sized projects.
Acts as a liaison between departmental end-users, technical analysts, information technology analysts, consultants and other organizations in the analysis, design, configuration, testing and maintenance activities
Work with Morgan Stanley End User reporting team
Work with offshore ETL team to communicate appropriate mapping for ETL development (experience in Informatica a plus)
Maintain constant communications with project team members (offshore and onshore)
Minimum Requirements:
Minimum of 10 years of proven experience in I.T as a Data Analyst – Background in Financial Services a MUST
Minimum of 5+ years of Database/SQL Experience – Must be proficient in DB2
Minimum of 5+ years ETL Experience (Preferably Informatica)
Minimum of 2+ years of End User reporting experience (Preferably Qlikview)
Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills
Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings
Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development and data mining
