Minimum Skills and Qualifications:
Provide Hands-on experience in developing and deploying distributed data processing applications using Hadoop or similar technologies - HDFS, MapReduce, Hive, Pig, Mahout, Sqoop, Impala, Spark, Kafka, Storm and other big data technologies
Provide Hands-on experience in deploying and operationalizing Hadoop technologies from Cloudera or HortonWorks. AWS EMR is a plus.
Have experience with one of the large cloud-computing infrastructure solutions Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Microsoft Azure
Experience with data security and privacy is a plus
Strong in SQL and query optimization skills
Strong experience in Linux and Shell Scripts
Minimum Skills and Qualifications:
1+ years of deep experience in big data initiatives to deploy data/reporting systems or visualization tools.
3+ years in Linux Operating Systems. Preferred Red Hat or CentOS.
Must be able to help program and project managers in the design, planning and governance of implementing projects of any kind
Educations:
BS Degree – preferred to be in engineering
Excellent one-on-one communication and presentation skills, able to convey technical information in a clear and unambiguous manner
Ability to develop technical documentation and user guides.
Cloudera Certified Administrator for Apache Hadoop (CCAH) OR HDP Certified Administrator is a plus
