MRA 193 (Management Requiring Attention) is essentially a US Regulatory (Fed Reserve Bank) IHC driven initiative to complete source technical data traceability for all front to back systems (FO, Ops, Risk, Finance etc.) for 38 specific data attributes to improve data accuracy & accountability for three Fed filings (reg. reports) that Finance is responsible for.
• BCBS 239 (Basel Committee on Banking Supervision) is another US Regulatory (FINMA) driven program that was meant to mitigate risks that arise from risk data aggregation and reporting activities that currently feed executive board & senior management reports (1 Group Risk Report, 11 firm-wide risk committees and 11 Legal Entity Regional Committees). The scope of BCBS includes 26 key risk measures which have been translated to a set of 139 Critical Data Elements (CDE's) for which policy adoption must be demonstrated.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): 


• Overall business analysis responsibilities for both MRA193 and BCBS 239 for GM Technology which includes both Trade and Risk Management applications
• Interpret sample system feeds (pre and post GM applications) and help GM system owners trace key data attributes back to front (i.e. STAR backwards to GM)
• Completion of level 2 detailed technical data lineage requirements for all in-scope Global Markets systems (Trade & Risk Management) and products (Loans, OTC Derivatives, Securities, Other) by working directly with key subject matter experts (SME's) for each in scope GM applications (i.e. Loan IQ)
• Work in collaboration with the IHC PM (Adil Abubakar) and IT Lead (Eddie McMahon) to ensure project delivery meets required deadlines
• Work with central CDO (Chief Data Officer) team to ensure GM Tech and Business consolidated planned data lineage documentation aligns
• Lead Global Markets team involvement in definition of requirements, lining up subject matter expertise and driving project success
• General analysis of other ad-hoc projects as determined by the IHC Program Manager (technical/business requirements, flow diagrams etc.) 


Additional responsibilities:


• Ability to interact with all Front to Back IT teams in Global Markets, Ref Data, Operations, Risk & Finance to support complete data lineage documentation
• Ability to multi-task numerous projects and/or requirements concurrently
• Ability to communicate effectively and drive project meetings when necessary
• Ability to complete any requirements documentation (Excel based)
• Ability to produce both high level and detailed workflow diagrams when required and drive overall business analysis with interested parties
• Ability to create & comprehend pivot tables/formulas in MS Excel 
• Ability to forge solid rapports with all key Global Markets teams (IT and Business)
• Ability to work under strenuous schedules when necessary (e.g. greater than 8 hrs)
• Ability to meet time sensitive deadlines largely determined by IHC management

Key Qualifications and/or other requirements:


Minimum 5 years' experience in a technology business analyst capacity in supporting a front to back project environment (IB FO Technology programs preferred)
• Minimum 3-5 years' experience in the Investment Banking Industry (Investment Banking Technology preferred)
• Previous experience in managing data feeds (i.e. data attributes, staging tables, headers, source definitions, qualifiers, filtering, aggregators, expressions, joiner conditions etc.)
• Good understanding of the front to back trade lifecycle of OTC Derivatives processing
• Previous experience in working in a Risk or Finance Department- Preferred (Product Control, Financial Control, Credit and Market Risk) 
• Basic understanding of GM Technology systems both Trade & Risk Management
• Experience with Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies
• Experience in maintaining project budgets/financials
• Strong communication skills both written and oral- lead/drive meetings when required
• Good time management skills and proven ability in meeting deadlines and working in a pressurized technology team facing high pressure and results-driven team environment
• Strong literacy in Microsoft Excel and MS Visio, good literacy in PowerPoint 
• Good understanding of OnePPM financial tool 
• Accurate and concise work that meets desired timeframes
The Global Markets IHC (Independent Holding Company) Technology Team is a challenging and fast paced department which is responsible for overall IT delivery of critical regulatory programs throughout the investment bank. As this project management role is an integral part of our success for IHC, the candidate will be supporting key projects to ensure overall delivery is achieved per original plans established.
IHC Technology is responsible for the management and delivery of Global Markets for the regional IHC/LE organization.
