PROJECT MANAGER
Location: Dallas, TX
Duration: 6+ months (can be extended based on the candidate's performance and the business need)
Experience as a Project Manager in large enterprises
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
PMP Certification
Retail OR E-Commerce Experience - Highly preferred
PM Experience with POS (Point of Sale) applications, and/or online shopping E-Commerce websites - highly preferred
Under general direction provide project management support on 1-3 projects with in a program. Projects include: Implementation of HQ infrastructure & applications, system integrations, design, implementation, testing, training, and field roll-outs.
Collaborate and communicate with Business Units, project teams, vendors, sponsors, and stakeholders in relation to project status, task assignments, vendor activities, financials, change requests, and risk/impacts.
Direct project task assignments, manage project plans, and maintain project artifacts via Microsoft tools.
Plan, facilitate, direct, and document team meetings to ensure completion of task assignments and team communication. Monitor & report project status to executive sponsors and steering committees.
Develop reports and analysis, and disseminate pertinent details to various groups of stakeholders.
Manage timely delivery of project deliverables and milestones, ensuring official acceptance is completed.
Lead planning and implementation of projects. May participate in the design and/or testing phases.
Facilitate project objectives, tasks, and resource requirements. Assist in resolution of conflicts within the projects or functional areas supporting the project. Work cross-functionally to solve problems and implement necessary changes.
Lead organizational change, identifying business process changes and improvements.
IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE
7 plus years' experience managing enterprise level projects as a PMP certified project manager.
Proven leadership skills on large successful projects &/or programs
Experience with other large retailers
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Experience working with multiple vendors as part of solution implementations.
PM experience with MS suite, Visio, Microsoft project 2013 (PWA Online), POS applications, &/or Online Shopping ecommerce websites.
7 plus years' certified project manager experience in large enterprises (Retail or e-commerce is a plus).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including meeting facilitation & presentations to a variety of audiences
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
Experience with matrix managed projects including up to 100 resources.
Knowledge of System Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
Traditional PM artifacts, status reports, executive briefings, change requests, project plans, budget sheets, etc.
TECHNICAL SKILL SETS
Solid Project Life Cycle and Software Development Life Cycle understanding.
REQUIREMENTS (NON-TECHNICAL SKILLS)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to present and explain project specific information to diverse types of audiences, including senior executives.
