Job Title: Sr. Systems analyst with Salesforce and CRM

Location: DC (local only)

Duration: 11-month contract

Interview: Face to Face

Salesforce experience, CRM, experience working for financial company

 

The Senior Systems Analyst plays a key role in the implementation and on-going maintenance of business solutions enabled by technology and serves as an integral member of Scrum teams.  Under limited supervision, the Senior Systems Analyst reviews, analyzes and evaluates business processes and requirements to determine the solutions best suited to improve processes and fulfill requirements. Working in conjunction with the ICMA-RC Business Analyst, the Senior Systems Analyst assesses the suitability of technology solutions in terms of their intended outcomes, and liaises with stakeholders such as business partners, compliance, vendors, and technology counterparts to achieve those outcomes.  Applies extensive knowledge of systems analysis concepts, practices and procedures in order to design and implement technology solutions.  Utilizes functional and technical expertise to formulate recommendations and solutions to achieve business strategies.  Identifies and formulates system designs to parallel stakeholder requirements and overall business strategies in accordance with standards and procedures.   The Senior Systems Analyst is responsible for creating and maintaining technical documentation and for obtaining client and technology management approvals.  Assists in the creation and execution of test strategies, plans and test cases. On occasion, performs analysis and troubleshooting of production issues by identifying problems, their root causes, and recommending remedies.  

 

Section B: Essential Functions/Activities (at least four but not more than ten sentences):

Elicit business requirements through techniques such as interviews, storyboarding, brain storming and prototyping and makes recommendations in areas that require a high level of technical competency

Translate business requirements into technical and functional requirements using various techniques such as process flow modeling, business rule identification, and use cases

Identify potential solutions and assess them for both business and technical sustainability and maintainability; determine nature and scope of changes to existing applications for enhancements and other changes

Create estimates for software development projects based on business requirements

Serve as a member of the Scrum team actively supporting Scrum practices while also integrating with enterprise functions such as change management to ensure solutions are effectively implemented into the organization

Conduct vendor analysis and proof-of-concepts/prototypes for new technologies/solutions

Act as knowledge integrator and translator between stakeholders and technology teams; communicate effectively with technology roles including architecture, software engineering, Information Security and project management 

Assist with business impact assessments; communicate priorities, project status, plans and issues to project stakeholders

Ensure that technical documentation is updated according to standards; map and document interfaces between legacy and new systems

Define test plans and scripts and perform functional testing; serve as liaison between project stakeholders and technical team during user acceptance testing; oversee implementation of new technology solutions including data migration

Collaborate with technology Risk Management, Compliance and other stakeholders to define, create, and maintain technology policies and procedures

Coach and mentor business analysts in requirements definition and solution delivery

Stay current in requirements solicitation techniques and tools as well as stay informed on the latest technology trends in the industry

In addition to all accountabilities of the Systems Analyst position, assumes greater leadership role, utilizing broader knowledge and high level technical skills

Perform other tasks as assigned
