Analysts is looking to hire a Senior Benefit Configuration Analyst and a Benefit Configuration Analyst to join our healthcare consulting team.  

These team members will be working with one of Analysts premier healthcare clients as they undertake a major system implementation and integration program.  

Organizational Relationships: 

Receives direction from the Analysts Delivery Manager and Client Operations Director. The Benefit Configuration Analyst (BCA) provides system administrative expertise, benefit configuration consultation and leadership support to Client leadership, front-line staff, shared services (IT, Health Care Analytics, etc.) and vendors. Their system and process expertise includes functions for claims processing, electronic interfaces, workflow analysis, process and claims configuration improvements, and developing procedures as it pertains to medical, pharmacy, and consumer driven healthcare claims. The Senior Benefit Configuration Analyst leads and serves on appropriate cross-departmental committees and acts as a resource to institutional committees on an ad hoc basis, providing consultation and expertise in their respective areas of responsibilities. 

Requires a minimum of a bachelor's degree in Business Administration and/or equivalent education and three years of related experience within the managed healthcare or related health/medical insurance in a claims administration environment. 

A Benefit Configuration Analyst should show aptitude and have demonstrated abilities in the following: Two plus years' experience and knowledge working with automated systems in support of operational activities related to Health Maintenance Organizations (HMO) and Third-party Administration (TPA). Strong system requirements definition, claims adjudication and processing and been an instrumental part of application and /or vendor upgrades. Ability to coordinate and manage multiple claims production issues and new client implementations at one time in an ambiguous environment. Self-motivated and self-directed. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Commitment to meet schedule and priorities. Accountable for the completion of assigned tasks. Exhibits understanding of and the ability to participate in group processes. Capable of interacting with a wide variety of personnel. Must possess strong communication skills (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills. Must have proven analytical skills and demonstrated project skills utilized in major projects. Serve as guide and mentor to other Benefit Configuration Analysts. Proven leadership in cross-functional business projects utilizing business configuration analyst knowledge, expertise and skills.
