• Gathers and documents requirements for BI initiatives
• Designs & Prototypes BI solutions
• Develops and maintains BI solutions according to best practices.
• Secures BI applications according to best practices
• Accounts for the accuracy of the data presented to BI users through the execution of BI validation processes and testing procedures.
• Troubleshoots and drives successful resolutions to all development related issues
• Conducts peer reviews of BI applications and ensures recommended changes are made
• Creates and maintains documentation on BI applications and source extraction applications
• Proactively tunes BI application and source extraction performance
• ETL Development and Scheduling:
• Application Deployment
• Assists with the troubleshooting and makes recommendations to correct deployment related issues
• Assists with the planning and continued refinement of the BI application deployment processes.
• Executes development related changes to correct ETL failures
• Makes recommendations to correct ETL failures.
• Assists the BI Administrator with troubleshooting ETL failures
• Assists with the planning of the ETL schedule.
• Designs, develops and tests ETL scripts
