Job title: Sr. AIX Administrator – 2 positions
Location: Mason, OH
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 12+ months (expected to extend beyond)
Work Shift: 7:00am – 7:00pm
Customer Specific Requirements:
1. Good hands on experience on AIX System administration and trouble shooting.
2. Installing/Upgrading AIX.
3. NFS and NIS administration
4. SAMBA and FTP administration
5. Virtualisation – VIO ,NPIV
6. Troubleshooting on issues belongs to LPAR/VIO
7. RAID and LVM Management
8. Experience in NIM
9. LPAR/DLPAR and HACMP Administration
10. Micro partitioning Administration
11. To carry out the scheduled activities like Patch management, Log file rotation.
12. Strong concepts of networking like TCP / IP
13. OS Level Performance Tuning
14. Knowledge of Shell Scripting.
15. Carries out AIX administration activities including Health checks, Incident Management, Change Management, Problem Management, Query and Service Level Management activities.
16. Assist team in complex technical issues.
17. Assists in the analysis of incidents and problems to show trends and potential problem areas, so that action can be taken to minimize the occurrence of incidents and to improve the process of problem reporting, analysis and clearance
Qualifications and Experience
Essential:
• Good understanding of Operating System infrastructures (And / Or relevant Application specific infrastructure as appropriate)
• Experience of client/server and enterprise environments
• Ability to structure and draft technical documentation
• ITIL Certified or a strong working knowledge of ITIL Incident, Problem and Change Management disciplines
• Customer relationship development and influencing skills
• Ability to work under pressure and remain decisive.
• Should be able to train junior team members
• Having AIX certification will be an added advantage
• Should have relevant experience in AIX server management above 6 years
