The successful candidate will spend a good portion of their time working with the business and technology areas to gather requirements for the ELIAS project. The candidate will gain an understanding of business functions, processing, challenges and opportunities to be effective in this role. The successful candidate is expected to facilitate collaboration to elicit, analyze and document requirements for cross functional solutions and work with project teams to develop scenarios for testing. The successful candidate will possess effective written and verbal communication skills and will collaborate with the leadership to ensure solution and project team are aligned to meet business objectives.
Required Skills:
Work with project manager to facilitate the definition of solution scope.
Working with technical and business staff to elicit, analyze, organize, simplify and document detailed business requirements by using a variety of elicitation techniques, understanding business processes and technology, DHS standards, federal and state policy, and ensuring strategic and project goal alignment.
Facilitate meetings with stakeholders to collect the information necessary to create deliverables within the established deadlines.
Ensure active participation of the correct stakeholders.
Manage requirements and facilitate requirements change decisions
Accurately prepare written business correspondence that is coherent, grammatically correct, effective, professional and engaging.
Validate requirements with stakeholders and the project team by communicating and presenting requirement artifacts and deliverables appropriate to stakeholder needs.
Demonstrated ability to function effectively in a collaborative team environment.
