WebSphere MQ (V7.5) Systems Administrator
CLEVELAND, Ohio
WHAT IS THE JOB?
Sr. WebSphere MQ Systems Admin in Tier 3 (Windows, Linux, z/OS Mainframe) operations with IBM z-Series operational experience with MQ and/or CICS technology.
The successful candidate will have:
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with others at all levels.
* Strong technical aptitude and the ability to adapt to varying mainframe environments are required.
NOTE: The role includes supporting on-location Monday through Friday, occasional planned weekend activities, and support scheduled on-call rotations after hours.
DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?
Candidates will have experience with either MQ or CICS with more than one of the following:
* WebSphere MQ V7.5 Administration experience on distributed platforms (Windows / Linux / zOS)
* Working knowledge of MQ Clustering
* Manage, configure, and monitor MQ Listeners, Command Servers, Channel initiatiors, Trigger Monitors, MQ Log files & Dead Letter Queues
* Monitor system capacity and performance
* Experience with installation, design, and maintenance of WebSphere MQ v7.5 software
* Knowledge of MQ structure and administration on z/OS
* Competency with MQ Explorer / MQMON
* Knowledge of IIB (WMQI)
- WMQI Broker Clustering/troubleshooting
- BAR File management
* Experience with CICS TS Installation / maintenance / support and related 3rd party products.
* Unix System Services
* Experience with CICS Web Services
* System Modification Program Extended (SMP/E)
* Knowledge of CICS VSAM file constructs
Having additional experience working with one or more of the following is a PLUS:
* DB2
* Knowledge of Mid/MidX/MidNet
* CA ESP Workload
* PCS
* z/OS and z/VM
* Mainframe Network (VTAM)
* ECM Storage DASD/DLM Support
* Mainframe Hardware Support
