Required Skills:

5+ years of experience in a Teradata DBA role

Experience with day-to-day production support

Experience with Backup, Archive and Recovery (BAR)

Experience with Teradata 14.10+

Exposure to Prod, Prod DR, Dev/Test and QA databases

Experience in large, Enterprise environments

Experience with Unix shell scripting

Familiarity with RedHat Linux, Solaris, AIX & SuSe

Must be willing to participate in an on-call rotation (approximately every 7-8 weeks)

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Desired Skills: 

Experience working on database migration projects

Experience with Teradata version 15.10

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or similar field of study

Description of Role/Responsibilities: 

We are looking for an experienced Teradata DBA to join a well-known organization with a location in Columbus, Ohio.  This person is being brought aboard to support and assist with the many projects currently happening in the group.  One of the main initiatives involves the migration of many Teradata databases to a new datacenter location.  This project is currently in Phase 1 in which they are migrating new production hardware and backup hardware.  They are currently running version 14.10 and are going to version 15.10.  As a member of the team, you would be responsible for participating on an on-call rotation occurring every 7-8 weeks.  If you are looking to join an exciting new project and hit the ground running, then this is the position for you.
